Dragons and damsels!

Situated on the northern edge of Boat of Garten, Milton Loch is wee gem. In the 19th century was surrounded by open fields but now it nestles amongst pine, birch and willow. From the loch-side hide you might well see grey heron, tufted duck and moorhen as well as amphibians, dragonflies and damselflies. Otter and even water voles visit the loch on occasion. The photo post here is set up to capture management changes to loch vegetation and seasonal changes to water level and lochside woodland.
